Subject: What is "lotus.domino.local.Name"?
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Error Message
Platform: Windows XP client
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: Not attempted

- I have a NotesName sessionScope variable, user. When attempting to do sessionScope.user.getCanonical() I see this:

Script interpreter error, line=2, col=64: Error calling method 'getCannonical()' on an object of type 'lotus.domino.local.Name [Static Java Interface Wrapper, lotus.domino.local.Name: lotus.domino.Name]'

- I found exactly zero information on this object type in "help", here on Notes.net, and in the Domino wiki. Web search gets hits for R6 IIOP on "domino.local", but nothing pertaining to this particular class, and "Xpage" is included in the web search I get two hits in Russian that are mailing list archives from 2007.

- Could someone explain or link to an explanation of what's happening?

Thanks for your time...
